Adults - Sundays at 9:15am

Real Life -
Robert Hammond and Bob Freeman
The Real Life class reaches out primarily to the life stage of those whose children are in middle school or high school. This class seeks to spiritually prepare adults for the challenges of real life through Bible Study, prayer and community building. This group studies Scripture so they can be equipped for real life issues.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Breaking Bread -Philip Asiala
The Changing Lives class is geared toward more mature families whose children are leaving the house to go to college or get married. This group is learning more about the Bible by working through topical studies. This means that, for example, members would learn all that the Bible has to say about the Trinity, then later the group would study all that the Bible has to say about forgiveness; the group will work through different topics that the Bible teaches. The focus of this group is to nurture and develop true disciples of Christ, and to teach adults to go out into the world and tell others about why they personally chose to follow Christ. The group helps adults to explain to others how one can have a relationship with Jesus and how one grows in that relationship.

Laotian- Hong Phimmasen
La Vergne is certainly a diverse city and so too is our church family.  In order to meet the needs of our Laos population, FBC La Vergne is pleased to have a class specifically for the Laos speaking citizians of this city.

Lydia -Dianne Miller
The Lydia Sunday School class is aimed at reaching women of any age.  The women in this class study literature titled Life Ventures, which directly applies the Bible to their busy lives. The goals of this class include, first and foremost, helping women in their relationship to Jesus Christ.  Other goals are to encourage each other, support the church body through giving and serving, building personal relationships, teaching each other, developing prayer partners, and so much more! If any woman has not found her place in a group at our church yet, she is welcome to give the Lydia class a try.
